Introduction
While Seoul Station mainly operates trains heading to Gyeongsang-do or North Chungcheong Province (bound for Busan, Masan, Jinju, Pohang, and Jecheon), Yongsan Station operates trains bound for Jeolla-do or the West Coast (bound for Mokpo, Gwangju, Yeosu Expo, and Iksan). When they need to take the KTX to their destination, many foreigners are confused as to whether it is correct to take the KTX from Seoul Station or Yongsan Station. You can go to places you cannot go to from Seoul Station from Yongsan Station, and vice versa, so you always need to be careful.
All public transportation that stops at Yongsan Station is as follows:
- Express train: KTX
- Train: ITX-Saemaeul
- Train: Mugunghwa
- Seoul Metropolitan Metro: Line 1
- Seoul Metropolitan Metro: Line Gyeongui-Jungang(경의중앙)
Please refer to this link for the fastest and most convenient way to get from Incheon International Airport to Seoul Station.
What is available and where?

The place to board the KTX is on the ground level at Yongsan Station. The photo at the top of this document is the building where you can take the KTX. But wherever you are inside, look for the KTX mark and follow it. You can find where to catch the KTX very easily.
